Did you know Lakeview Cemetery ...
- has a dam that at the time of its dedication in 1978 was the largest concrete filled dam east of the Rocky Mountains and can hold back 80 million gallons of water.
- has a monument to Eliot Ness, who was most famous for bringing down Al Capone.
- is the burial place of Raymond Johnson Chapman, Cleveland Indians shortstop from 1912-1920, the only major league ballplayer to die due to an injury during a game. The season was dedicated to him and was the 1st time the Indians won the league and world championship!
- is the burial place of Gloria Hershey Pressman, who appeared in many or the original "Little Rascals" short films.
- is the burial place of J. Walker Wills, Sr., founder and director of the largest black-owned funeral business and among his achievements was a founder of the local branch of the NAACP and the Negro Welfare Association (Urban League of Cleveland).
- and much, much more!
