Accounting is an information and measurement system which identifies records and communicates relevant, reliable and comparable information about an organization’s business activities. Upon completion of the course you will be able to identify the financial statements that are used to communicate the relevant to the company’s internal and external customers. You will learn to identify what assets, liabilities, income and expenses are and how they are used to prepare financial statements. You will learn how to analyze transactions and prepare recordings of the transaction in the general journal and then posted to the general ledger. Using the various data from the financial statements will assist in determining whether a company is healthy and utilizing its entire means to maximize its potential bottom line i.e. net profit.
