Beachwood Arts Council "Diversity Fest"
The Beachwood Arts Council (BAC) extends a welcome to its second “Diversity Fest”, a four- week long salute to the Irish, Italian and Korean communities of the greater Cleveland area. Believing that diversity is one of great Cleveland’s strong suits, the Celebration features art, speakers, performance and cuisine from each culture.
It opens at the Beachwood Community Center, 25225 Fairmount Blvd on Sunday, March 4 and runs through March 26. It is free and open to the public. The art show representing the three featured cultures will be up for the duration of the event.
The first program kicks off on March 4 from 2 – 5 p.m. when the BAC will showcase the Irish community. PeggyZone Fisher, President and CEO of The Diversity Center of Northeast Ohio, and Sheila Murphy Crawford, Director of the Murphy Irish Arts Center, will be featured speakers. Entertainment will be provided by the Irish dancersfrom the Murphy Irish Arts Center. Artwork by photograhers, Rita Hanna and Scott MacGregorwill be displayed.

The Beachwood Arts Council is an all-volunteer, nonprofit organization that has supported the arts in Northeast Ohio since 1964. Its efforts not only encourage the development and appreciation of the visual and performing arts but provide access to quality art that reflects the diverse cultures of Northeast Ohio.
