Artist Archives of the Western Reserve Second Annual Photography Competition Exhibit
The Artists Archives of the Western Reserve is a unique archival facility that preserves representative bodies of work created by Ohio visual artists as well as staging exhibitions and offering educational programs. In 2013 the Library hosted the inaugural AAWR Open Photography Competition, and we are excited to welcome the show back for a second year. Hundreds of photographers submit to the competition; 65 will be selected for the exhibit. This year’s judge is Dianne Waggoner, Associate Curator in the Department of Photographs at the National Gallery of Art in Washington DC. An Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony will be held Saturday November 1 at 10:00 am. The show runs from November 1 through November 27 during Library hours, Monday through Friday 9 am to 9 pm, Saturday and Sunday 9 am to 5: 30 pm and Sunday 1 to 4 pm. The Library is located at 25501 Shaker Blvd in Beachwood.
