Dettelbach\, a Partner in the Litigation/Legislative/Regulatory Practice Groups at Baker Hostetler\, as our speaker on Wednesday\, July 30th\, 11:30 AM-1:15 PM at the Hilton Cleveland East/Beachwood\, 3663 Park East Drive\, sponsored by Beachwood Pointe Care Center.Prior to joining Baker Hostetler\, Mr. Dettelbach worked in the executive\, legislative\, and judicial branches of government for over 15 years. He served as a federal prosecutor both for the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington\, D.C.\, and at two U.S. Attorney's offices for over 12 years.  During his time at the Department of Justice\, he headed criminal investigations or prosecutions in over 20 states and was lead counsel in well over 30 trials.As a prosecutor\, Mr. Dettelbach never lost a federal trial. He received numerous awards for his work in the government\, including being named Prosecutor of the Year by the International Association of Financial Crimes Investigators. In 2005\, he was named as one of the "Forty Under 40" by Crain's Cleveland Business.From 2003 to 2006\, he served as Assistant U.S. Attorney on the Organized Crime and Corruption Strike Force in Cleveland. During that period\, he was the lead prosecutor who prosecuted a series of high-profile public corruption and fraud cases.  These cases included United States v. Nate Gray\, a racketeering conspiracy case that led to nine convictions.
