He began his career as a reporter with the Columbus Citizen-Journal and then served in senior positions with the administrations of Columbus Mayor Buck Rinehart and Ohio Governor George Voinovich.\n\n\n\nEarning a law degree in 1991\, he became an attorney in private practice\, a small business where he learned what it means to have capital risk and make a payroll.  In 1999 the voters of Delaware County elected Dave Yost to the Office of County Auditor\, where he returned thousands of dollars for local schools and county services by crackign down on those who abused tax incentives. In each of his four years in that office\, he won the Auditor of State's "Making Tax Dollars Count" Award as well as the Certificate of Excellence in Financial Reporting from the Government Finance Officers Assocaition.\n\n\n\nHe become Delaware County's Prosecuting Attorney in 2003\, holding that post until 2010\, winning acclaim for his vigorous prosecution of political corruption. He also won the first-ever capital verdict in Delaware County and prosecuted the largest drug ring in the county's history.\n\n\n\nIn November 2010\, Auditor Yost won statewide election as Ohio's Auditor of State\, where he pursues his mission to protect Ohioans' tax dollars while aggressively fighting fraud\, waste\, and misues in public spending.\n\n\n\nCost: $25--members\; $30--nonmembers\n\nNote dietary restrictions under comments when registering.\n\nRegister online and your acknowledgement is your credit card receipt.\n\nReservations close on Monday\, November 14\, at 1:00 PM.\n\n\n\nArrive no later than 11:40 AM and enter to win a FREE lunch at an upcoming event.
