She is being rescheduled. We are happy to announce that Cuyahoga County Treasurer Jim Rokakis will join us and our sponsor Satellite Data Payroll Services on Wednesday\, January 28\, 2008\, at Embassy Suites-Beachwood. Mr. Rokakis has been deeply involved in the foreclosure issue and has been working to change state law and lending practices within our community and the state. Since this affects all of us either directly or indirectly\, we look forward to having you join us on the 28th. Mr. Rokakis took office as County Treasurer in March 1997 after serving 19 years on Cleveland's City Council\, the last seven years as Chairman of the Finance Committee. He has brought sweeping reform to the Treasurer's Office and overhauled the County's property tax collection system. He has significantly improved Cuyahoga County's investment function and was recognized as having the best performing portfolio amoung Ohio County Treasurers. He also spearheaded House Bill 294 which streamlines the foreclosure process for abandoned properties and was instrumental in creating he County's "Don't Borrow Trouble" foreclosure prevention program.
