She has also worked as an Adjunct Professor of English at Cuyahoga Community College and is a research consultant for various firms and businesses in the cleveland area\, including Buckingham\, Doolittle & Burroughs where she works withGerald Chattman\, who is a partner and works as an arbitrator for botht he Americna Arbitration Association and the Federal Mediation and Conciliation Service.Prof. Mika travels nationally judging at various moot court competititions and presents nationally on topics related to integrating technology and multimedia into classroom teaching. Prof. Mika's areas of scholarly research are varied and she has published in the areas of Native American Law\, Internet Law\, and Health Care.This is the 3rd in a series of five lectures that comprise The 2008 Global Gateway Series\, a professional development series presented by leading law and business faculty at Cleveland State University to help companies make informed business decisions and pursue sound strategic growth.  This month's program is sponsored by Meyers\, Roman\, Friedberg & Lewis. Who should attend?\nThe Global Gateway Series is open to the entire Northeast Ohio business and legal community.  Programs are designed to assist and inform small-to-medium size enterprises to grow in a global economy. Programs feature leading CSU business and law faculty as well as guest speakers from the business\, venture capital\, and banking world. This Friday's presentation will cover topics of prime interest including the basics of employment law\, including discrimination laws\, as well as issues related to employment law\, such as wage standards and retaliatory discharge. Also discussed will be sexual harassment in the workplace and the Family Medicla Leave Act.  As part of the discussion\, the speaker will also cover some "dos and don'ts" of job interviews and behavior in the workplace.
