She will introduce you to Overdrive\, a program that allows you to check out digital and audio books\, and Lynda.com\, an online\, subscription-based library that offers 6\,473 courses in business\, technology and creative skills\, taught by industry experts\, that is free to library card holders. Do you know that you can apply for a passport\, digitize and share old videos\, use state-of-the-art technological equipment or utilize resources that support your writing interests? Our top-rated library system has something for everyone\, and Lurie will share details about these programs and more. The library is transforming our community with programs that far exceed what libraries used to offer. Be prepared to be inspired and learn how you can explore Cuyahoga County Public Library in new and exciting ways. \n\n \n\nPrior to becoming branch manager\, Lurie was school librarian at the Mandel Jewish Day School\; and was an active member of the Association of Jewish Libraries\, where she served on the national board\, chaired a national children's book award committee\, and was president of the School\, Synagogue and Centers Division.
